Step by Step Hair Transplant
First thing that needs to be done at the examination is drawing blood for testing. This is done to test you if you have any HIV and Hepatitis C in your system. This is not so much for your benefit but to protect the surgeon, nurses, and anyone else who will be involved with your transplant.
After the blood test, you and your surgeon will discuss the procedure and determine your new hairline. A very important decision because your future look will be determined because of this.
The last part of the examination will be the shaving of the hair on your head. This is done so the surgeon can work better and more precise on your skull.
The first thing, after lying down on the treatment chair, which will be done by the nurses, is starting with the local anesthesia on the skull via small injections.
After the local anesthesia has kicked in the surgeon and his team will start harvesting grafts from the donor area, don’t worry, you will not feel a thing.
After harvesting the surgeon will make very small incisions in the receiving part of the skull and start putting the harvested grafts back in the skull.
When the surgeon is finished, he will put a bandage on your head against the bleeding and to prevent any infection.
The day after the surgery you will be invited back to the hospital for a checkup. The surgeon will take of the bandage and will check your skull on any discomforts and failures. Second part of the checkup is the washing of the hair and putting on special hair lotion.
Last is the talk with your surgeon who can explain to you how to proceed ones your back home. His instruction are important and should be followed carefully.
it was a wonderful experience for me. Thank you for making the process painless and for making me feel relaxed and taken care of.
I could tell you were all focused on making the entire procedure comfortable for me.
